Marcus Chia

Marcus Chia is a UX × AI product designer and the founder of Produlogi. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he works with teams worldwide.

The work

Marcus comes from UX and UI design and has an extensive background in designing digital products. That background shapes how he approaches AI. A model can produce a plausible screen, a plausible PRD or a plausible answer in seconds. The work that decides whether people trust the product happens after that: in the states nobody drew, the copy nobody questioned and the test nobody ran.

Craft over AI slop

AI makes average output free. Marcus built Produlogi around the opposite habit. The studio checks its own work, and its clients' work, against a short slop test:

1. Visual. No default gradients, glassy blobs or stock AI art. A deliberate palette and real artefacts.
2. Content. No fake metrics or anonymous five-star quotes. Real or labelled sample data, sourced numbers, named quotes with consent.
3. AI UX. No happy-path-only flows. Loading, uncertainty, error and correction all get designed.
4. Copy. No "unlock", "leverage" or "seamless". A concrete claim with a verb and an object.
5. Process. Nothing ships straight from the generator. At least one real-user check and one critique pass first.

A draft fails if any answer is yes.

Teaching

Marcus teaches as faculty at AiTraining2U, an HRD Corp registered provider in Malaysia. He is the named instructor for AI Vibe Coding and Rapid Prototyping, a two-day course where participants go from an AI-assisted PRD to a working app. He co-teaches AI Agentic Automation with n8n and the orchestration day of Mastering Claude and Multi-Agent Orchestration.
